Lightweight but fully lined, the ecru background of this dress is scattered with purple apples. Purple flowers between the two lines of hand-embroidered smocks which form a frilly border on the square neckline, the elasticated fly-sleeves on the shoulders and the large gathered flounce hemmed with purple satin stitch which finishes the bottom. It falls below the knees and natural mother-of-pearl buttons close the back opening.
